What We Believe

It is through my own experience with my encounter with God, how truth has been revealed to me and has set me free.  I have seen the same experience in others who have come to know God in their life.  How does this happen?  I have been asked, "how does this verse apply to me?  I'm a christian but I am still afflected with the bondage of sin in my life", I still struggle and wrestle things I shouldn't because i'm a Christian".   Let's look at God's Word.

John 8:31-32 (NLT), "Jesus said to the people who believed in him, “You are truly my disciples if you remain faithful to my teachings. 32 And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”

The reason why people are going through some much in their lives is because they are not adding the whole verse 1 and 2 to their life.  Jesus was talking to believers, Christians or followers of Christ, that if they remained faithful to His teaching, they were truly Jesus' disciples.  In verse 31 Jesus uses the big word, "If",  this is huge becasue we have to make a choice in our life if we are going to follow Jesus or we are not.

This goes for us as well If we remain faithful to God He will remain faithful to us.  We must choose to follow Jesus and when we do the truth of his Word becomes real to us.

John 15:5 (NLT), “I am the vine; you are the branches. Those who remain in me, and I in them, will produce much fruit. For apart from me you can do nothing.

When we know the Truth of God's Word our mind is open to understand what God's will is for our life.  And we are changed and nolonger want to be the same but Changed.

Romans 12:2 (NIV)

A Living Sacrifice
" Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will".

When we choose to follow God, He changes us from the Inside out.  This ministry is so Important.  I have see how God has changed the lives of the Men on the Prison Unit.  Because of this Relationship with God, they no longer want to go back to their old life of crime.  Let's together share the love of God with others so that God can change lives, save families, and mend broken relationships and keep them from going back to Prison.
